  1. My child was a kindergartener when he was diagnosed with ADHD and has spent his entire childhood/school days with specialists and taking medication, plus he was in Special Ed in all stages of education. He is now 21yrs old and has suffered since he graduated from high school in keeping down a job. He wanted to attend college, however kept getting unmotivated and coming up with many excuses why he couldn't go. He is now off my health insurance and is not working so he has no health insurance and SSI would help him with health benefits and a chance to go to college full time. Since age 18-20, he had turned to street drugs and alcohol to manage his disorder. I believe that he takes his meds once in a while but ends up selling them to friends. I helped him apply for SSI and his claim was denied. I provided all the necessary documentation and more that they need and now we are at a standstill. He had an appt with his psychiatrist and she states that because she has only seen him twice, SSI based her notes as their decision to deny his claim. I don't see the relevance as I provided all other specialist info and docs for them.

Can you please direct me to some one who can do pro-bono work to help us get through this appeal process? I prefer to not have this drag on for months/years before he can get help.

    Thanks MOM
